Is There a Way to Configure a Reminder/Alert for an Event Created in a WebCenter Portal Calendar? (Doc ID 2350361.1)

Goal

In WebCenter Portal is there a way to send a reminder/notification when an alert is triggered in a calendar?
For example, when building a collaboration portal where each portal will have a calendar that has events scheduled, a reminder/notification (popup, email, etc) needs to be sent when triggered.
