Symptoms


Running the upgradeFoldersILS script to upgrade Item Level Security fails to upgrade some folders.
The UpgradeFoldersILSDetails.log shows the following errors:


ERROR

[ERROR]: fFolderGUID : 7E57AAA796D9AB5C5D6191D091CB35B1, status : FAIL
[ERROR]: fFolderGUID : AAD83F7FA4731490EC249D6BCAE7B767, status : FAIL
[ERROR]: fFolderGUID : 547A3CB9B149F4BDF06E77DD72943418, status : FAIL
[ERROR]: fFolderGUID : 50E3675C048D7D147F3300F79DFA1459, status : FAIL
[ERROR]: fFolderGUID : 372175F615DEFE31F0530EF9EFBCE58C, status : FAIL
[ERROR]: fFolderGUID : EC6AAD29FCB0F885850F5063AF71C554, status : FAIL

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Upgrade from:

    WebCenter Portal 11g to 12c.
    Migrate Folders_G to Framework Folders.

  2. Run the upgradeFoldersILS script to complete the upgrade of Item Level Security (ILS).

  3. Review the UpgradeFoldersILSDetails.log file.  The errors will be in this log.
