When Viewing an Image in the WebCenter Content: Imaging Viewer Error "Could not find saved view state for token" Occurs (Doc ID 2351410.1)

Symptoms

After an upgrade from WebCenter from WebCenter Content: Imaging 11.1.1.8 to 11.1.1.9, the following behavior is noticed:

Users viewing an image are returned to the search page sporadically. This is happening several times per day.

The following error is returned:

Could not find saved view state for token -<token>; Faces lifecycle receives unhandled exceptions
