Goal

In document here: Configuring and Managing Auditing, states the following schema elements are defined as follows:


  IAU_ID: A unique sequential number for every audit record
  IAU_TstzOriginating: Date and time when the audit event was generated (data type TIMESTAMP)

However the search against Audit DB shows   IAU_ID goes up and down quite dramatically between records.


How is this sequential if the numbers are going up and down so much relative to the date of the transaction?
