Content Presenter Shows ADF_FACES-30200 Errors After Upgrading WebCenter Portal from 11g to 12c (Doc ID 2355307.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to browse content for a Content Presenter, the following error occurs:

ADF_FACES-30200:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: The UIViewRoot is null. Fatal exception during PhaseId: RESTORE_VIEW 1..

STEPS

For new Content Presenters:

  1. Add a Content Presenter to a page.
  2. Edit the Content Presenter.
  3. Click Select Content.
  4. Click Browse.  The error occurs. 

For existing Content Presenters:

  1. Edit the page with the Content Presenter.
  2. Select the Content Tab.
    This will show that the Content Presenter is associated to a file.
  3. Click Browse.
    No errors will occur and the task flow is not responding. 

Changes

Upgraded from WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 to 11.1.1.9 and then to 12c.
