Updating a Custom Authentication Provider in WebLogic Server
(Doc ID 2355631.1)
Last updated on JULY 26, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.6 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The goal of this document is to clarify support when using a custom authentication provider.
Use case:
Have developed a custom Authentication Provider in WebLogic, which extends the built in LDAP Authenticator. The custom Authentication Provider -"CyberArkLDAPAuthenticatorImpl" extends weblogic.security.providers.authentications.LDAPAuthenticatorImpl. One of its methods are getting the LDAP principal and its password. These methods are invoked by WebLogic when it starts but are not invoked again until the WebLogic server goes down and up again.
Question: Is it possible to make WebLogic call them again, to make the authenticator refresh these values? (without restarting WebLogic)
