Goal

Trying to connect a legacy application to the new Weblogic 12C application server.

This is because the legacy application is on Oracle 10gAS (10.1.2.3) and is running on a very old Java version (i.e 1.3).  For the connection to work, you would need a wlclient.jar that corresponds to WebLogic 7.0 or lower.
