Mappings Fails with Error "ORA-00942" After Upgrade from ODI 11g to 12c (Doc ID 2359555.1)

Symptoms

After an upgrade from Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g to 12c, or importing a mapping into 12c from 11g, mappings that were originally creating the ODI work tables on the target are now creating the ODI work tables in the source. Due to that behavior change, mappings are failing with error:
