"ODI-12243" and "ODI-12001" when Creating Partial Tag in ODI 12c Connected to a Version Control System (VCS) such as Apache Subversion (SVN) or Git (Doc ID 2360602.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator ( ODI) 12c repository configured to connect to a Version Control System (VCS) such as Apache Subversion (SVN) or Git, an attempt to create a partial tag fails with the following error:


To reproduce:

  1. Go to VCS, ie the svn folder in the SVN repository. Perform an update operation such as creating a a dummy folder(ex: xyz) inside the svn folder(parallel to trunk/tags/branch).
  2. Login to the VCS configured ODI repository using ODI Studio. Attempt to create a partial tag,
    Menu option: Team -> VCS Actions -> Create Partial Tag...
  3. Drag and drop a project or individual ODI artifacts, add a new tag name and comment, click ok and you will see above error.
