Symptoms

Attempting to execute an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) procedure that reads from a database (DB) table and writes to an Extensible Markup Language (XML) file fails with the following error message:

ODI-1228: Task (Procedure) fails on the target XML connection.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ODI-40762: Cannot write the file because this schema is opened in a read-only mode
