Unable to Deploy Application in WebLogic Console (Doc ID 2375975.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to redeploy the .ear file for an application, the application disappeared from Deployments in WebLogic Console.  Since not listed under Deployments, it cannot be undeployed.

Attempting to redeploy the application results in Error: Application name "<APPLICATION_NAME>" has already been used. Use a different application name to proceed.
