WebCenter Content: Imaging Managed Server Hangs On Graceful Shutdown After 12.2.1.3 Upgrade using Chghost (Doc ID 2383170.1)

Symptoms

In the process of upgrading 11.1.1.8 to 12.2.1.3, the first pass of chghost upgrade procedure completed successfully. All servers came up fine. However, one of the managed servers (Imaging) is not stopping completely.

Starting the server with:

startManagedWebLogic.cmd IPM_server1 (http://<ip adress>:7001)


Shutting the server down with WLST:


After that IPM_server1 is staying in SHUTTING_DOWN state for hours and has to be killed eventually.
