No Errors Received When FTP Remote Connection Password Changed In MFT Source (with Polling) (Doc ID 2383538.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.1.0.0 version, MFT Runtime Server

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

An MFT source is configured in the environment to pick up files from Remote FTP, with polling interval 1800 seconds.

MFT source name - Taleo_AutomaticRequisition_INT_FTP

Taleo system (remote FTP) has changed the password. But the password was not updated in the Fusion middleware environment, and MFT stopped polling without providing a notification.
So the production files from the source system were not polled and that caused a critical production issue.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If the source remote FTP password was changed without updating it in MFT, there should have been a notification that transfers were not being completed successfully.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Look at the polling folder for MFT and notice nothing is moving.
2. The logs show not errors.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot move information back and forth involving Taleo.
