ODI 12c Variables Are Not Substituted When Running Procedure for CREATE XMLFILE (Doc ID 2383652.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) variables are not substituted when running a procedure to create an XML file with the following JDBC command:

CREATE XMLFILE "#Variable\<FILE NAME>.xml" FROM SCHEMA <SCHEMA NAME>

Since the variables are not substituted properly, it results in the following error:

ODI-1228: Task Procedure-<PROCEDURE NAME>-create fails on the target connection <CONNECTION NAME>.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ODI-40768: Could not save the file \<FILE NAME>.xml because a class java.io.IOException occurred and said: No such file or directory
