Information in this document applies to any platform.
In some cases, it becomes necessary to export data from or import data into MDS while the associated managed server is down. This could be to make some necessary changes to configs before the server starts up or to correct some broken config that is preventing the managed server from starting up in the first place. The solution below will permit off-line exports and imports of MDS data using the old jDeveloper MDS utility.
