Symptoms

Customer has reported that stale cache entries when aggregating using an Indexed filter. This is start occurring after upgrade from 12.1.2.x.x to 12.2.1.x.x version. After upgrade, the cache entry is not in the expected state as mandated by the filter. We are making calls to NamedCache.aggregate(filter, aggregator). The NamedCache is a distributed cache and contains java objects. Filter is querying against an indexed attribute of the objects in the cache. Aggregator is a ReducerAggregator with an AbstractExtractor that user defined to extract a date value from the java object entries that match the filter. The aggregation is been run on a polling thread looking for specific cache entries. Intermittently stale cache entries are returning.
