Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Installed Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 12c on one server in collocated mode (with Weblogic and Oracle Unified Directory Services Manager / OUDSM) and using Oracle 12c as a backend database (DB). Successfully completed the installation and able to access the directory server instance using OUDSM.

Now installing the exact same software and documentation instructions on a second server for High Availability (HA), and pointing it to the same Prefix and DB during the install.

During the install/configuration step, when running ./rcu to go through Middleware Configuration Wizard, getting an error about OPSS Processing. Getting the error when configuring OUD/OUDSM domain using the configuration wizard (./config.sh):

CFGFWK-64254: Error occurred in "OPSS Processing" phase execution

Encountered error: oracle.security.opss.tools.lifecycle.LivecycleException: Error during configuring
DB security store. Exception oracle.security.opss.tools.livecycle.LivecycleException: The schema
PROD_OPSS is already in use for security store(s). Please create a new schema.

Would like both OUD12c servers to point to a single Oracle DB as backend using same database tablespace.
