OGG 12.3 Parallel Replicat - Unable to lock file "/dirpcs/<process-name>.pcr when used in DBFS

Symptoms
When using Parallel replicat Goldengate 12.3 version, if it is encountering any error while processing instead of abending immediately it is getting stuck
on Checkpoint lag.
The lag increases and process is still showing as RUNNING, while ggserr.log and report file shows process as abending.
After restarting the process below error is seen,
ERROR OGG-00446 Unable to lock file "/u01/ogg/stitogg/dirchk/MRREP.cpr"
DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS
1. Checked for the process exist at the OS end
2. Restarted the DBFS File sysytem
3. From Activity tracing
