Symptoms

This issue has been observed in OBIEE 12.2.1.3 but could affect other products.

The Security Store Type was changed in Fusion Middleware Enterprise Manager from Oracle Database to Oracle Internet Directory, then the environment was stopped (stop.sh) and restarted (start.sh) <-- OBIS, OBIPS, and OBISCH

The wsm-pm shows as "Failed" in the Deployment

The Stack Trace in the logs shows the following NPE:
