ODI Mapping Error "The JOIN physical node can not be supported by Progress technology on the thread" (Doc ID 2412817.1)

Last updated on JULY 02, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) mapping that loads data from a Progress database to an Oracle database uses two tables as a source via a "join." The loading fails with the following error message if the join is set to occur on the source:

INFO: STAGING hint ignored due to errors when moving: xxx.JOIN STAGING-> SOURCE
oracle.cef.sdk.model.GraphModelDomainException: oracle.odi.ui.mapping.physical.model.domain.PhysicalDomainModelController $ MappingMessageException: The JOIN physical node can not be supported by Progress technology on the thread yyy of the zzz mapping.

If the join query is executed via SQL Developer with the same driver used, no issue occurs.

Changes

The environment was upgraded from ODI 10g to ODI 12c.
