Unable to Configure "RequestHeader Set HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER in OHS/mod_wl_ohs for APEX/OAM Integration - Returns NULL (Doc ID 2416212.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When trying to modify an HTTP Header from one value to another it is not working. Instead the value set is (null). It is desired to set the value to what is requested to be used in the Apex Application.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. In the mod_wl_ohs.conf the following has been defined:

RequestHeader set HTTP_OAM_REMOTE_USER "%{OAM_REMOTE_USER}e"

2. When checking the HTTP Header variables, it is seen that the value is instead set to (null)
