Symptoms

On WCP 11.1.1.8.x

Admin Server and WebCenter Managed server (WC_Spaces) start without any issues.

Attempting to add configurations to WC_Spaces via Enterprise Manager (http://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/em) and the WC_Space managed server goes down.

ERROR (WC_Spaces.out)
-------------------------------

There is insufficient memory for the Java Runtime Environment to continue.
# Native memory allocation (malloc) failed to allocate 156237824 bytes for committing reserved memory.
# An error report file with more information is saved as:
# /<MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/domains/portal/hs_err_pid<PID>.log
