Batch Jobs Hang and Maximum Database Connections Fail in a New EDQ Installation (Doc ID 2427387.1)

This issue is most likely encountered in a new installation of Enterprise Data Quality.

Symptoms

EDQ Jobs hang or raise database connection errors while running batch jobs.

Observation of the number of active database connections shows it is approaching or at the maximum for PROCESSES.

 

Errors in the EDQ log may be similar to the following:

  Could not connect to database: IO Error: ot minus one from a read call, connect lapse 22 ms, Authentication lapse 0 ms. (Code: 2,010)
