Symptoms

Sometimes WebCenter Sites performance takes a severe hit and the system becomes unresponsive with many stuck threads.

When this issue occurs the DB connection pool grows from the normal utilization until it hits the max connections limit, in the span of about a minute.

Changes

WebCenter Sites is deployed in a cluster configuration, with Unicast being used for cache replication.
