Selected Number of Row in PanelCollections is Shown Incorrectly (Doc ID 2438050.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.1.3.0.0 to 12.1.3.0.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The number of selected rows in a panelCollections is shown incorrectly, as seen in the following screenshot:

The issue can be reproduced in different scenarios:

  1. Select the first row, and select more rows by holding the shift-key and repeat pressing the down key until the 'Selected rows' will be wrong. 'Selected rows' will go wrong when 51 rows are selected.
  2. Select the first row and the last row: Now two rows are selected but the 'Selected rows" will display only 1.
  3. Select all rows with Ctrl-A. The 'Selected rows' will correctly show 'all'. Then deselect one row by pressing Ctrl and clicking on a row. Now the 'Selected row' will not show how many rows were selected.

Workaround:

If the view object is set to fetch all rows at once, the selected row counter will show the correct number, on the cost of performance.
