WebCenter Portal 11g To 12c Upgrade - Page ID's Are Converted From Init Caps To Small Case (Doc ID 2441098.1)

Symptoms

In 11g, Pages in a Portal are assigned IDs (mixed case) similar to Page Names for manageability. However, post upgrade to 12c, the PageIDs are converted to lower case. For example, Page named "Accounting Offices" has an ID of "AccountingOffices". After upgrade to 12c, the PageID is now "accountingoffices".

In essence, below URL that worked in 11g does not work anymore after upgrading to 12c:

http://.../webcenter/portal/myPortal/AccountingOffices/myPage1/mySubPage11

When accessed, "Page Not Found..." error is reported to the user.

Changes

 WebCenter Portal upgraded from 11g to 12c.
