Unable to Stop an ODI Job that Contains Rest API Calls Using OdiInvokeRESTfulService (Doc ID 2453556.1)

Last updated on APRIL 28, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

A simple Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Package uses the OdiInvokeRESTfulService to call Rest API.

This is working as expected, but sometimes the execution gets stuck, running for much longer than expected.
Waiting for the process to fail can take hours, and instead an attempt is made to stop the hanging session through the ODI Studio Operator and perform a "Stop Immediate".

However, nothing happens in the ODI Operator when a right-click on the hanging session is performed and "Stop Immediate" is selected. The session is not killed nor stopped and the execution fails by itself eventually.
