OAM 12.2.1.3.0 How to Modify the User Identity Store Used for Basic Authentication for Managed Server REST API Calls (Doc ID 2457470.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This note provides information on how to modify the user store used to perform the Basic Authentication for Oracle Access Manager (OAM) REST services served by the OAM managed server

Scope

By default, REST API's that are served by the OAM managed server (as opposed to those served by the AdminServer) will use the embedded WebLogic Server (WLS) LDAP store, UserIdentityStore1, for performing the BASIC authentication for those services.  This is not affected by the configured system store and must be updated separately.  REST services served by the AdminServer will authenticate using the configured system store.
