"Unable to locate the keystore DemoIdentity.jks" with JDK 1.8.0_161 or later or JDK 1.7.0_171 or later in ODI When Certificates Are Involved

Symptoms
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) fails when certificates are involved and Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.8.0_161 or JDK 1.7.0_171 (or later) has been installed.
For example, Node manager fails with the error:
Error: missing demo identity file
Or while verifying the preferences in ODI Studio, a pop-up message will appear with the following:
"Validation Failed"
"Unable to locate the keystore ODI_HOME\wlserver\server\lib\DemoIdentity.jks. The keystore must exist at the specified location."
Etc.
Cannot find identity keystore file ORACLE_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/security/DemoIdentity.jks
