Goal
Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g/12c diagnostic log entries can be key to finding the cause of a problem with OAM implementations.
By default OAM Server is configured to log at NOTIFICATION level, which provides some useful processing information.
However there may be occasions when a higher logging level is required in order to obtain more information about a technical issue.
Oracle Support Services also commonly ask for trace level diagnostic logs so that problems can be analyzed.
This Note provides starting point detailing how to enable enhanced trace logging for the OAM Server and OAM WebGate components.
