Unable to Switch Sites After Changing the Hostname in Configuration Files (Doc ID 2466633.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to switch site after logging into Sites, the following error occurs.

Error reading configuration file
Unable to read the configuration file. Please check console for more details (RequestError: Unable to load /sites/ContentServer?pagename=fatwire/ui/controller/controller&elementName=UI/GetConfig&responseType=json status:403)

Changes

A Proxy server is added to the environment and the hostname in the property files are changed to proxy server hostname.
