How to Address: OIM Duplicate AD Accounts with the Same RE_KEYFIELD but Different Modify Date? (Doc ID 2470652.1)

Last updated on JULY 27, 2023

Applies to:

Identity Manager Connector - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document provides steps to resolve the issue where OIM creates duplicate AD Accounts for the same user but different Modify Date

Please note:

Adding a unique constraint to UD_ADUSER_OBJECTGUID column will have adverse effect.

Once after applying unique key constraint for OBJECTGUID on UD_ADUSER table, even null value is not allowed for multiple entries for OBJECGUID column in entire table.

Please note if one account is stuck in provisioning status, that entry will have null value for OBJECTGUID column. After that, if upon request AD account for any other user, OBJECTGUID on the account is null until a value is received from target upon successful account creation. With a constraint in place, it will not allow to insert a record with null OBJECTGUID value.
