Coherence HotCache Near Cache Clients Not Refreshing Data In the 12.2.1.3.0 Version (Doc ID 2482833.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 28, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 12.2.1.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer has reported that on 12.2.1.3.1 version, client is using Near Caches with invalidation strategy 'PRESENT'.  After the Production environment Upgrade from 12.1.3.0 to 12.2.1.3.1, user has identified that update operations are not reflected to Near Caches. User has observed same behavior with invalidation strategy 'ALL'. After restarting, the client (Weblogic Server) user can see the updated version of the entries to Near Cache. All caches are refreshed using HotCache Processes. User has observed that this is happening only for updates through HotCache and not when putting directly an updated entry to a Cache (through CohQL). Here the Near Cache is used only for Weblogic (joins as non-storage enabled node).
