HTTP Server Opens File Automatically Instead Of Asking To Save Or Open For File Extension .jt (Doc ID 2484596.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 12.2.1.3.0 to 12.2.1.3.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to download a particular file type with the extension .jt from OHS 12c, the contents are displayed in the browser and no prompt to save or open the file.
It is expected that the browser would prompt to save or open the file using an external viewer.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Request the file with a .jt extension in OHS 12c.
2. Instead of prompting to save or open with external app, the contents of the file are displayed in the browser.
