Getting ADF_FACES-60097 Error While Editing a Portal to Add or Modify Page Components (Doc ID 2485134.1)

Symptoms


Users experience an error when attempting to edit pages to add or modify page components.
This occurs in all Portals for all users.

The Portals can still be administered but pages can't be edited which prevents making changes to pages.
 

ERROR

The Portal UI shows the following error in a Pop Up window:

ADF_FACES-60097:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #2



The WC_Portal1-diagnostic.log shows this warning for a missing logo or icon file for a portal (note the portal being edited might be different):

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Connect to WebCenter Portal
  2. View a portal
  3. From the Contribute drop-down select: Edit portal
  4. Select the properties of a component in the page and then select : Display Options

    The error occurs.
