WebLogic 12.2.1.3 Reconfig Create New Unexpected Generic DS Members With "rac" Suffix For MultiDataSource (Doc ID 2491805.1)

Last updated on JUNE 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

During upgrade from previous release to 12.2.1.3 reconfig wizard create non working generic DS members for MultiDataSource.

Before upgrade
  MDS : MultiDataSource_Test
  Members: Generic_Test1, Generic_Test2

After upgrade the MDS now points to two non-working newly created generic DS
  MDS : MultiDataSource_Test
  Members: MutiDataSource_Test-rac0, MutiDataSource_Test-rac1

The only workaround is to re-name the generic data source to end with suffix -rac0 and -rac1.
