ODI 12c Scenario Import Hangs (Doc ID 2493762.1)

Symptoms

The import of some Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c Scenarios hangs when using either smart import of synonym INSERT_UPDATE mode. No errors are reported.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Export a Scenario from the **source** environment
  2. Place the Scenario on the desktop of the machine where ODI Studio is installed.
  3. Connect to the **destination** Master / Work Repositories.
  4. Select Scenario import synonym (INSERT_UPDATE) mode.
  5. Observe that the import hangs (even after 30-60 minutes).
  6. No errors are reported.
