ODI Extract Option Is Unable to Read Japanese Symbols (Doc ID 2503459.1)

Symptoms

In ODI Studio, double click a mapping, go to Physical View, click on the first datastore, go to the Properties window and click on the tab that says Extract Options.  Double click on the value of the Custom Template and input an SQL statement with comments like below:

SELECT column1, column2, column3 
FROM table_name  --テスト（

NOTE: In the example above any details, ie table name, represent a fictitious sample. Any similarity to actual configurations, persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.
