Symptoms
Multicast Clustering Not Working:
i) The Cluster Info in the Admin UI (e.g. Admin --> System Tools --> Cache Management --> CAS Cache --> Cluster Info) page indicates that "There are no remote cluster members configured for the cache notifier."
ii) inCache (cas-cache, cs-cache, ss-cache, linked-cache) invalidation is not working:
e.g. updating an asset on one node in the cluster is not reflected on the other node.
What is working:
- Support Tool's Multicast testing tool to verify that multicast works; a ping sent from Support Tools arrives, and the other members of the cluster are also visible via the notifier messages.
Changes
WebLogic Patch 28710939 was applied and the JDK was updated to greater than JDK 1.8.0_172
