Symptoms

Creating a Portal and Enabling Discussions Server results in the following error:

 

Error

The following error will be shown in the WebCenter Portal UI:

WCS#YYYY.MM.DD.HH.MI.SS: An error occurred while trying to provision the service oracle.webcenter.collab.forum

 

The portal managed server diagnostic log shows the following error:

Steps

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

 

  1. Create a Portal.
  2. Enable the Discussions Service in the portal.
    Here you will see the error.

 

Changes

WebCenter Portal was upgraded from 12.2.1.2 to 12.2.1.3.
