Symptoms
Below symptom and solution apply to JDeveloper installer downloaded from the Developer Tool page.
If you downloaded JDeveloper installer from eDelivery Site and get a similar error, check <Document:2865076.1> JDeveloper 12.2.1.4 Downloaded from eDelivery Site Fails to Install Due to Missing File.
Cannot install Oracle JDeveloper Studio Edition 12c. Installer shows the following error:
The jar file C:\<PATH>\jdev_suite_1221302.jar needed for this installer is missing.
The filename changes according to the installer version you are using (Windows, Linux or Generic). It could also be jdev_suite_122130_win64-2.zip or jdev_suite_122130_linux64-2.zip.
