Getting "Content Server Error" on Live Site Intermittently. "Overload" Seen in WebLogic Console. (Doc ID 2508933.1)

Symptoms

Intermittently seeing "Content Server error" in Production environment. JVM had a message "Overload" in the WebLogic Console. Restarting the server resolved the error.

Sites log shows the following error:

[ERROR] [] [oracle.wcsites.db] [tid: <tid>] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: <ecid>] [APP: sites] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] Exception getting database connection[[
weblogic.jdbc.extensions.PoolLimitSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceLimitException: No resources currently available in pool wcsitesDS to allocate to applications, please increase the size of the pool and retry..
