Symptoms

WebLogic Server version: 12.2.1.2.0, APEX version: 5.0.2.00.072013.01.01, ORDS version: 3.0.2.294.08.40

On WebLogic managed servers with APEX/ORDS deployed on them, the CPU usage is extremely high which is close to 100%. Below is an example on one of the servers.

 

The hot packages and classes are shown below:

Meanwhile, we can see there are quite some hot threads, and the hot methods for each hot thread are same which are oracle.net.aso.b.c or oracle.net.aso.b.c. Below is a example thread from the JFR:
