SOA/BPEL Application Throwing Java.util.ConcurrentModificationException (Doc ID 2524993.1)

Symptoms

After updating java from 1.8.0_141 to 1.8.0_162, a SOA/BPEL application is throwing a Java exception.
The transaction fails and this error shows up in the output log.

oracle.fabric.common.FabricInvocationException: java.util.ConcurrentModificationException
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.rest.bc.reference.RestReferenceBindingComponent.request(RestReferenceBindingComponent.java:278)
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.mesh.SynchronousMessageHandler.doRequest(SynchronousMessageHandler.java:151)

Caused by: java.util.ConcurrentModificationException
at java.util.ArrayList$Itr.checkForComodification(ArrayList.java:909)
at java.util.ArrayList$Itr.next(ArrayList.java:859)
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.rest.bc.reference.wsdl.WsdlReference.addParameters(WsdlReference.java:294)
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.rest.bc.reference.wsdl.WsdlReference.buildRestResource(WsdlReference.java:105)
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.rest.bc.reference.RestReference.request(RestReference.java:296)
at oracle.integration.platform.blocks.rest.bc.reference.RestReferenceBindingComponent.request(RestReferenceBindingComponent.java:258)

It is seen during high number of transaction periods. 
It occurs intermittently.
