ESSO Password Reset Client Installation Error Message From Command Line Installation (Doc ID 2528686.1)

Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On : Password Reset

The ESSO Password Reset Client fails to install from a command line and generates an error message:

"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package.:"

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open a command prompt on the Windows desktop.
2. Navigate to the folder containing the ESSO installation files.
3. Enter the command "msiexec /i ""<LM_INSTALLER_FILE_NAME>.msi" TRANSFORMS="pr_client_only.mst"

Due to this issue, administrator cannot install the ESSO Password Reset client from a command line.
