Symptoms

Issue: Custom Attribute Syntax changes between Version 11.1.2.3.x and Version 12.2.1.3.x OUD

Situation Description

After upgrading the environment from OUD 11.1.2.3.x to OUD 12.2.1.3.0 data associated with an entry that includes a Custom User Defined Attribute with specification of a Binary Syntax can no longer be updated correctly via "ldapmodify", or any other command type.

An example of this type of Entry Update Failure, from an OUD "Access" Log file, is as follows:
