OVD 11g Cache Plug-In Parameter "zeroresults" Is Not Honored Against a DB Adapter (Doc ID 2551107.1)

Symptoms

After configuring the Cache plug-in against a Database adapter, the zeroresults parameter is set to 1 but searches against that adapter that return no results are not cached.

 

If the same search is run again, the DB table configured in the adapter gets hit by the same select statement, whereas if the search does return some result, it is cached and the DB table does not get any additional select statement.

NOTE:

A way to verify that this is happening is to run this statement right after doing several successful ldapsearches against the DB adapter and verify that the output value only increments by one over the
previous value of the same statement:
