On : 11.1.1.8.0 version, WebCenter Sites

When attempting to edit and save an asset, the following issue occurs:

SYMPTOMS:
-----------------------
1. It takes longer than a minute to save.
2. The user is unable to see that the asset is saved until the UI is refreshed.
3. The UI becomes unusable or the asset needs to be closed.
4. Following Error may be displayed sometimes:
     "Asset is not present in {site name}. Cannot view the requested asset because it does not exist in the site in which you are working."
     "Invalid Asset Id. Cannot load asset of type Varaibles.description with ID .. Please supply a valid asset id and try again."
5. Sometimes users see a blank page.

In the sites.log, the following error is seen:
