ODI 12c Standalone Agent Error "ODI-10143: Error while accessing the WORK repository. javax.naming.NameNotFoundException" (Doc ID 2558693.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.3.0, a Standalone Agent throws the following error in the log:

Warning connecting to Agent <AGENT NAME>: JDBC connection error occurs while connecting to the work repository <WORK REPO>.[[
ODI-1419: Warning connecting to Agent <AGENT NAME>: JDBC connection error occurs while connecting to the work repository <WORK REPO>.
Caused By: oracle.odi.core.config.UncategorizedConfigurationException: ODI-10181: Uncategorized configuration exception.
ODI-10143: Error while accessing the <WORK REPO> repository.
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to look up comp/env/[DataSourceName] in /app/webapp/oraclediagent/<UNIQUE ID>.; remaining name 'comp/env/[DataSourceName]'

The error message may display a different data source name than "[DataSourceName]".

The agent may no longer perform scheduled operations or allow users to View Schedule through the ODI Studio client.
