Last updated on JUNE 03, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An ADF application is deployed in a server, and it is tested and works without problems.

However, after some patch is applied in the server, the application starts showing some faulty behavior or simply ceases to work.

In one case reported, the problem was that the buttons in the page did not work at all.

A javascript error may be seen in the browser console:

Uncaught TypeError: AdfAgent.AGENT.isTouchFirstDevice is not a function

Other possible error is:

ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #2
javax.el.PropertyNotFoundException: The class 'oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.FacesCtrlSearchBinding$AdfAttributeDescriptor' does not have the property 'autoComplete'.
at javax.el.BeanELResolver.getBeanProperty(BeanELResolver.java:645)

NOTE: The actual symptoms may be dependent on the way the application was packaged
